Camera Controls

We recommend you use a keyboard and mouse with onshape but you can use a mousepad. Mousepad is more finicky and generally makes 3D modeling take longer. To pan the screen left right, up down, hold down the middle mouse button and drag the mouse. To zoom in and out, scroll with the mouse scroll wheel. To rotate your screen. Hold the right mouse button and drag. To pan the screen left right, up down, hold down down three fingers on the mousepad and drag your fingers. To zoom in and out, hold place 2 fingers on the mouse pad and drag forwards and backwards . To rotate your screen, hold down 2 fingers on the mousepad and drag.


Selecting Entities

When selecting entities with your cursor, you simply left click on the object to select it. Click it again to Un-select the entity. To select a large area you can hold down the left mouse button and drag. Dragging from right to left turns the box yellow and selects anything touching the box. Dragging from left to right turns the box blue and selects only things inside of the box.


Normalizing

To normalize your camera to a plane or face, hover over the face and press the "n" key on your keyboard. If your'e already close to normalized with one of the primary planes faces, you can just press the "n" key without hovering. Also, in the top left of youre screen is a box which allows to quickly and percisley rotated to a specific view. You can either click on the box itself or select from the dropdown below it.
